Hello world! Welcome to my page. My name is Kelvin Lagota. I have a PhD in Mathematics (Analysis) from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. Currently, I am a part-time instructor at Dawson College and a sessional faculty member at Trent University.
My research interest is in the field of Geometric Analysis and Spectral Theory. Specifically, I am interested in studying symmetric operators (e.g. Laplace operators) on manifolds (e.g. Riemann surfaces) with singularities and their spectral properties. I am interested in how some spectral invariants of an operator, such as the determinants, depend on the geometric properties of the manifolds.
My other interests are in the fields of Functional Analysis, Complex Analysis, Harmonic Analysis, and Differential Equations. Given an opportunity, I would love to explore and do some research on these areas. Currently, I am learning some new skills related to Data Science/Analytics (my newest/latest interest).
